Julia Barbosa is a board-certified family nurse practitioner accredited by the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners. After serving as a U.S. Army medic at Walter Reed National Military Medical Center, she earned her Doctorate in Nursing Practice from Columbia University. Specializing in digestive health care for adults of all ages, Julia is passionate about patient engagement, empowering individuals to improve their health and well-being through education and the promotion of sustainable wellness habits. Originally from Brazil, she is fluent in Brazilian Portuguese. In her free time, Julia enjoys spending time with her family, traveling, and crafting crochet gifts for friends.

As a healthcare provider, I bring a combination of clinical expertise and genuine compassion. Gastroenterology as a specialty offers a unique blend of intellectual challenge, variety, and the opportunity to significantly improve patient care. Helping patients regain comfort and confidence in their health is a deeply rewarding experience.
