Julie Anne Parker, CNM

Julie Parker is a dedicated Certified Nurse-Midwife with a drive for providing compassionate, evidence based, holistic care. With over fifteen years of experience in obstetric nursing within the hospital setting, she has developed a deep commitment to ensuring that all patients feel safe and respected throughout their health, wellness and birth journeys. Julie earned her Master of Science in Nursing from the Yale University School of Nursing, specializing as a Nurse-Midwife and Women’s Health Nurse Practitioner. Julie gained extensive experience in labor and birth, low & high-risk obstetrics and postpartum care. Her own birth experiences with midwives in the hospital setting inspired her to pursue midwifery, and she recognizes the profound impact of patient-centered, respectful care. Through her advanced education and clinical training, she honed her skills in whole-person health and wellness, gynecologic health & reproductive care, pre- & post-natal care and labor support, with a strong focus on providing equitable and inclusive healthcare.

How do you spend your valuable personal time when you’re not caring for patients?
I enjoy exploring the Northeast, discovering scenic hiking trails, trying new local cuisine, supporting small businesses, traveling, and immersing myself in local communities. My passion for adventure and travel enriches my life both personally and professionally.

Why did you choose your specialty and what is its greatest reward?
My own birth experiences and collaboration with Certified Nurse-Midwives inspired me. The greatest reward is empowering individuals with choices that honor their unique needs and values.
