Julie Michelle Hansen, PA-C

Julie is a dedicated and compassionate physician assistant specializing in electrophysiology. She recently transitioned into this field after spending four years in urgent care, where she provided high-quality, patient-centered care. Julie earned her Master of Science in Physician Assistant Studies from Marist College and has a strong background in emergency medicine, having previously worked as an EMT and an ER Tech at Vassar Brothers Medical Center.

Why should someone choose you to care for their health?
I am a compassionate provider who listens, educates, and empowers patients. My own experience with arrhythmia gives me a unique, personal approach to care.

What is the most important thing your patients should expect from their professional relationship with you? What do you expect from them?
Patients can expect empathy and patient-centered, attentive care. In return, I expect honesty, engagement, and a willingness to take an active role in their health.

How do you spend your valuable personal time when you are not caring for patients?
When not caring for patients, I enjoy spending time outdoors with my husband and our two dogs, tackling home renovation projects, and making memories with family and friends.

Why did you choose your specialty and what is its greatest reward?
I chose electrophysiology due to my personal and family cardiac history. The greatest reward is helping educate patients, improving their quality of life and giving them peace of mind.
