Get To Know Me
Why should someone choose you to care for their health?
I love my patients and hope to make every person I see feel cared for. I believe in balancing the accumulated knowledge of modern medicine with an individual's specific needs and priorities.
What is the most important thing your patients should expect from their professional relationship with you? What do you expect from them?
My patients should expect open, honest communication from me and real compassion. I would hope for the same from them as we navigate our (often imperfect!) healthcare system together.
How do you spend your valuable personal time when you are not caring for patients?
My two school aged kids keep me busy, but I read novels voraciously and love to hike outside. Much of my time lately is spent either planting flowers or thinking about what flowers to plant next.
Why did you choose your specialty and what is its greatest reward?
I chose Family Medicine because I could not narrow down my interests! I loved my OB/Gyn, Pediatrics and Internal Medicine rotations and am so grateful to incorporate aspects of each in my current practice. The best thing about my job is getting to know who my patients are and being of use to them in some of life's difficult moments.
