Get To Know Me
Why should someone choose you to care for their health?
I have been working in healthcare for over 16 years. My career has given me a uniquely thorough approach to care. I’ve worked through every step of my education and have been fortunate to have experience in many different healthcare settings, from nursing homes to hospitals to outpatient offices. I’ve had countless patient encounters on different levels and value the connection with each unique individual.
What is the most important thing your patients should expect from their professional relationship with you? What do you expect from them?
My patients should expect the utmost respect and personal care from me. I am always available to answer any questions and am happy to educate at every step. I expect my patients to trust me and to feel comfortable expressing their needs.
How do you spend your valuable personal time when you’re not caring for patients?
I enjoy tending to my gardens and spending time with my pets and I love to cook and bake. I also enjoy entertaining my friends and family as often as I can, it’s important to find things to celebrate.
Why did you choose your specialty and what is its greatest reward?
Palliative care is a specialty that focuses on not only the treatment of your current health problem but also overall wellness and quality of life. My nursing background has shown me just how important time and focus on independence, comfort and activities that hold meaning to each individual are.
