Krishan Patel, MD

Dr. Krishan Patel was born and raised in the United Kingdom but has spent his medical career outside of it. He completed his medical training at St. George’s University in Grenada, West Indies before moving to the US. After completing his General Surgery residency at Maimonides Medical Center in Brooklyn, NY, he spent a year doing a Trauma/Critical Care fellowship at Cooper University Hospital before rejoining Maimonides as a member of the Trauma, Acute Care Surgery and Surgical Critical Care department, helping it become an ACS verified Adult Level 1 Trauma Center and a Pediatric Level 2 Trauma Center. He is board-certified in both General Surgery and Surgical Critical Care. In addition to taking care of complex, critically injured patients, Dr. Patel also enjoys participating in resident education. He comes to Connecticut to join his former partner, Dr Heath Walden, as part of the Acute Care Surgery program at Danbury Hospital and moves with his wife and 2 young children.
