When we make a diagnosis, we play a pivotal role in patient care. Having "the last word" is certainly a big responsibility and as pathologists we take that very seriously.
How do you spend your personal time when you're not caring for patients?
I like spending time with my family and enjoy outdoor activities.
Why did you choose your specialty and what is its greatest reward?
A pathologist's work is on the cutting-edge of personalized medicine. My diagnostic work incorporates continuously evolving methods such as immunohistochemistry, molecular pathology and next generation gene sequencing.
