Dr. Lau is a fellowship-trained Colorectal surgeon specializing in a wide range of colon and rectum disorders, from inflammatory bowel disease to cancer. He also addresses benign conditions such as hemorrhoids, fissures, fistulas, fecal incontinence and prolapse. Additionally, he holds board certification in General Surgery from the American Board of Surgery.

Prioritizing proactive healthcare, Dr. Lau performs colonoscopies and high-resolution anoscopies for cancer screening. How do you spend your valuable personal time when you’re not caring for patients?
Fitness is an important aspect of my life; my best days are the ones when I make it to my CrossFit class. In addition to staying active, I also enjoy cooking and indulging in a nice Netflix binge.

Why did you choose your specialty and what is its greatest reward?
Colorectal surgery allows me to develop lasting relationships with my patients. I enjoy the journey I take with them, as well as the breadth of diseases I get to manage.
