Lynn Carollo, ANP

Lynn Carollo is a board-certified adult nurse practitioner specializing in gastroenterology. She earned her Master of Science in Nursing from SUNY Stony Brook in 2012 and has been board-certified through the American Association of Nurse Practitioners since that time. Lynn has extensive experience in diagnosing and managing a wide range of gastrointestinal conditions, including GERD, constipation, irritable bowel syndrome, abdominal pain, nausea, inflammatory bowel disease, fatty liver disease, and cirrhosis. She is committed to providing thorough, patient-centered care—developing comprehensive evaluations based on detailed history taking and dedicating time to ensure her patients fully understand their diagnoses, results, and treatment plans.

What is the most important thing your patients should expect from their professional relationship with you? What do you expect from them?
In this fast-paced and often chaotic world, respect and understanding matter to me. I will always make an effort to listen thoughtfully to your concerns, and I ask that you extend that same in return. This fosters better understanding of your medical condition and adherence to treatment regimen.

How do you spend your valuable personal time when you are not caring for patients?
While outside the office, I enjoy spending time outdoors, relaxing in the sunshine with a gentle breeze. Family time is very precious to me, and I cherish moments with my husband, son, and our three puppies. Destination vacations always bring a sense of adventure, and I enjoy expressing my creativity through crocheting, painting, and other artistic pursuits which I create and love to share and gift to others.

Why did you choose your specialty and what is its greatest reward?
I believe the specialty chose me. I was a new graduate who worked in acute setting of cardiothoracic surgery for 11 years and was approached regarding a Gastroenterology position. I find the greatest reward in building relationships with patients and managing their care over the years.
