Breast cancer requires a collaborative approach to treatment and I work closely with my colleagues to offer the best care possible to my patients.
What is the most important thing your patients should expect from their professional relationship with you? What do you expect from them?
Trust between a surgeon and their patient is paramount. I value and respect my patients, their feelings and their voice.
How do you spend your personal time when you're not caring for patients?
I love to train for half marathons, watch my kids play lacrosse and spend time hiking in the woods with my goldendoodle and border collie.
Why did you choose your specialty and what is its greatest reward?
As a breast surgeon, I am able to develop longstanding relationships with my patients and help navigate them through their cancer.
