Marceline B. Cook, AGNP

Marceline Cook, NP, is an Adult Gerontology nurse practitioner board-certified by the American Association of Nurse Practitioners (AANP).  She graduated from Stony Brook University earning a post-graduate certificate in 2021.  Marceline prides herself in building strong relationships with patients, creating an environment for open communication, and developing treatment plans that are patient focused. Her 25 years of nursing experience have allowed her to have great assessment skills and develop treatment plans to improve patient’s quality of life. 

Why should someone choose you to care for their health?
I am a good listener and make it a priority to understand my patients.  I work collaboratively with them and utilize medical guidelines to meet their healthcare needs.  I am here to educate and motivate them to achieve their goals. 

What is the most important thing your patients should expect from their professional relationship with you?  What do you expect from them?
My patients should expect a respectful, compassionate, honest, and thorough provider who is dedicated to their well-being.  I expect clear communication, mutual respect, and active participation in their care.

How do you spend your valuable personal time when you’re not caring for patients?
I love to spend time with my family and friends, making healthy meals, watching home repair shows and developing myself spiritually.

Why do you choose your specialty and what is its greatest reward?
Patients who face neurological ailments have a wide range of complex symptoms. My interest in Neurology stems from family members, and friends and caring for patients who’ve experienced stroke, epilepsy, Alzheimer’s, and Parkinson’s disease. The challenges they face towards recovery are great, and it is rewarding to see them working hard towards the collaborative goals and the joy expressed as they achieve them.
