Mariyam Chaudhry, MD, is a Chief Third-Year Family Medicine Resident, originally from Lahore, Pakistan. Dr. Chaudhry is passionate about caring for individuals and families across all stages of life and she believes in building meaningful, long-term relationships with her patients. She is fluent in Urdu and Punjabi, which allows her to connect more deeply with patients and provide culturally responsive care.

How do you spend your valuable personal time when you are not caring for patients?
When I’m not caring for patients, I enjoy spending quality time with family and friends, staying active, and finding time to recharge. These moments help me maintain balance, perspective, and the energy I bring to caring for my patients.

Why did you choose your specialty and what is its greatest reward?
I chose Family Medicine because it allows me to care for patients of all ages and build long-term relationships with individuals and families. The greatest reward is the trust patients place in me and seeing the positive impact of continuity of care on their health and well-being over time.
