Martha T. DesBiens, MD

Dr. DesBiens is an infectious disease specialist and is board certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine in both Infectious Disease and Internal Medicine. She treats patients ages 18+. She completed fellowship training programs in infectious disease and in preventive medicine. Dr. DesBiens has expertise in diagnosing and treating a wide range of infections, including HIV/AIDS, hepatitis C, tuberculosis and related infections, tick-borne infections, infections in immune compromised individuals and antibiotic-resistant infections, among many others. Dr. DesBiens takes a patient-centered approach and believes educating her patients about the nature of an infection is key to the success of any management plan.

I keep busy as a mother of two.

Why did you choose your specialty and what is its greatest reward?
I love what I do. I am passionate about the science and art of infectious disease and enjoy helping people overcome difficult infections.
