Meghan Maloney, APRN

Meghan Maloney is a compassionate Nurse Practitioner specializing in Endocrinology. She obtained her master's degree from New York University and is passionate about patient education and empowerment. Her particular areas of interest include type 1, type 2, gestational and post-pancreatectomy diabetes as well as advanced technologies. Meghan strives to build lasting partnerships with her patients to improve their health and self-management of diabetes.

Why should someone choose you to care for their health?
My prior experience with diabetes management in the hospital has given me great insight into the impact that diabetes has on all aspects of life. My goal is to meet you where you are at and help you to incrementally progress towards your goals.

What is the most important thing your patients should expect from their professional relationship with you? What do you expect from them?
My patients can expect empathy, respect and honesty. I hope that my patients leave our visit feeling heard and empowered to take an active role in their health journey. I expect honesty from my patients so I can truly help personalize their plan of care.

How do you spend your valuable personal time when you’re not caring for patients?
Outside of work, you'll find me enjoying family time, gardening, riding my bike and trying new recipes.

Why did you choose your specialty and what is its greatest reward?
I enjoy the challenge of finding the particular regimen that works for each patient.
