Michael J. Marchan, PA-C

Michael graduated from Touro College of Health Sciences in January 2021 with a master’s degree in physician assistant studies. He is board-certified by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants. He began his healthcare career in September 2021 and has a passion for the neurosurgical field of medicine. Michael takes pride in building a strong rapport with his patients and caring for his patients as a whole, considering each individual's personal needs. While not serving his community, Mike enjoys spending his time with his family, golfing, exercising, and hiking.

Why should someone choose you to care for their health?
Patients should choose me for their healthcare needs as I value a strong, collaborative relationship between provider and patient to meet their healthcare needs. I listen to my patients and use this information to provide an individualized care plan.

What is the most important thing your patients should expect from their professional relationship with you? What do you expect from them?
The most important thing my patients should expect from our professional relationship is complete honesty, unbiased opinion of their diagnosis and potential treatment options. I expect patients to feel comfortable enough to be able to ask questions in relation to their health and diagnosis. I relate to my patients as an individual through open communication and encourage them to be active participants in their health success.

How do you spend your valuable personal time when you’re not caring for patients?
While away from work, I enjoy golfing, cooking, skiing and enjoying quality time with family and friends.

Why did you choose your specialty and what is its greatest reward
Neurosurgery is a very challenging and fascinating part of medicine, which continues to allow me to learn something new every day while providing exceptional care to my patients.
