About Michelle Marie King
Professional Statement
Michelle King, DNP, APRN, brings extensive clinical experience across pulmonary medicine, hospitalist service, emergency department, in-home urgent care, and medical aesthetics.
Her diverse background allows her to deliver comprehensive, patient-centered care across acute, chronic, and preventative settings.
She earned both her Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) and Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) degrees from the University of St. Joseph. Her doctoral project focused on improving nurses’ self-efficacy in breastfeeding education.
Michelle is deeply committed to caring for underserved populations and is known for providing compassionate, culturally competent emergency care tailored to each patient's needs. In addition to her clinical practice, she serves as adjunct faculty at the University of St. Joseph, where she teaches and mentors APRN students. She has a particular passion for supporting and educating new advanced practice nurses as they transition into clinical practice.
Get To Know Me
Why should someone choose you to care for their health?
I lead with empathy, truly listen, see the whole person, understand your goals, and partner with you through shared decision-making to guide personalized, respectful care.
What is the most important thing your patients should expect from their professional relationship with you? What do you expect from them?
Evidence-based practice, a commitment to safety, and care grounded in clinical judgment, transparency, and shared decision-making.
Open dialogue helps me understand how you truly feel so we can make safe, effective decisions together.
How do you spend your valuable personal time when you are not caring for patients?
I spend my time raising my family, staying active through running and spinning classes, and unwinding by the beach-especially when it involves enjoying fresh lobster.
Why did you choose your specialty and what is its greatest reward?
I chose emergency medicine because it is fast paced, intellectually challenging, and centered on being present for patients during their most vulnerable moments, where timely decisions truly matter.
