Miranda Warunek is a certified physician assistant with procedural experience who completed a surgical residency through Norwalk Hospital/Yale School of Medicine along with her doctorate in medical studies through the University of Lynchburg. I genuinely enjoy talking with patients, which allows me to build strong, trusting relationships and understand their needs better. Engaging in conversations with my patients helps me to not only address their medical concerns but also to connect with them on a personal level.

My patients can expect respect, integrity, honesty, trustworthiness, and someone who genuinely cares about their well-being. Transparency and honesty are fundamental to building a strong and trusting relationship. I believe in being open and clear about their health conditions, treatment options, and any concerns they may have. This ensures that they are well-informed and can make the best decisions for their health.

In return, I expect the same from my patients. I value their honesty and transparency in sharing their symptoms, concerns, and any relevant information that can help me provide the best care possible. 

How do you spend your valuable personal time when you’re not caring for patients?
When I'm not caring for patients, I enjoy spending my valuable personal time engaging in physical activities and immersing myself in music. I find that staying active helps me maintain both my physical and mental well-being. It's a great way to relieve stress and stay energized.

Why did you choose your specialty and what is its greatest reward?
I chose my specialty because I am passionate about helping patients navigate and adapt to physical changes in their lives. I find immense satisfaction in seeing the positive impact on their lives.

The greatest reward of my specialty is having my life enriched by many patients who have taught me perseverance, fortitude, and grace under the greatest adversities of life.
