Mohammad Nadim Rahman, DO

Dr. Mohammad Nadim Rahman grew up in the Hudson Valley area and pursued medical school at NYITCOM in Old Westbury, later completing residency at Garnet Health in Middletown. Notably, Dr. Rahman began his medical journey as an undergraduate at New Paltz, and now, as he begins his first attending physician position near where his journey began, there is a sense of poetic symmetry to his path.

Why should someone choose you to care for their health?
I choose my doctors for their ability to communicate, whether through eye contact, casual conversation or active listening, so I hope you can find those traits in me.

What is the most important thing your patients should expect from their professional relationship with you? What do you expect from them?
Your healthcare team's plan may not agree with yours at times, but we all work as a team to try to optimize your health, and I will try my best to respect your boundaries and wishes while you ensure that you're aware and doing the best that you can for your health.

How do you spend your valuable personal time when you are not caring for patients?
My hobbies include video and photography along with editing, special effects and photoshop. I enjoy thrilling, dramatic or epic movies, tv shows, anime and manga and like to edit Wikimedia articles about them. I like plant based and vegetarian cooking alongside my favorite animals including cats, birds and capybaras. My outdoor interests include hiking, indoor rock climbing, escape rooms, puzzles and adventure parks. I also find cleaning and organizing to be meditative.

Why did you choose your specialty and what is its greatest reward?
Preventative and protective care is the most important care we can give to ourselves, and its rewards unravel over a lifetime.
