Mohammadreza Shervinrad, MD

Dr. Shervinrad is triple board certified in anatomic, clinical and cytopathology by the American Board of Pathology. He is specialized in anatomic and clinical pathology and subspecialized in cytopathology. He has extensive experience in various aspects of anatomic pathology and at the same time was a blood bank director in multiple hospitals in New York for years. He is a Fellow of the College of American Pathologists and the American Society for Clinical Pathology. He is also an active member of the American Society of Cytopathology, the Association for Advancement of Blood and Biotherapies and the United States and Canadian Academy of Pathology. He has a special interest in medical education and teaching residents and fellows. 

How do you spend your valuable personal time when you’re not caring for patients? 
I would like to spend time with my family, also reading novels and hiking. 

Why did you choose your specialty and what is its greatest reward? 
I choose pathology because it is the foundation of all clinical medicine that covers every aspect of patient care, diagnostic testing, and treatment plans.
