Get To Know Me
Why should someone choose you to care for their health?
I always make sure to listen closely and ensure I am doing my best to address the major concerns of my patients and their families.
What is the most important thing your patients should expect from their professional relationship with you? What do you expect from them?
My patients should expect to feel heard and cared for. The emergency room is a fast-paced environment; expect me to be honest about what can and cannot be achieved during the visit. I will do my best to provide you with the resources you need if discharged or send you to the correct level of care if admission is needed. In return I expect you to be open and honest with me so I can provide you with the best care.
How do you spend your valuable personal time when you are not caring for patients?
When I am not at work, I am spending time with my husband and son. We love spending time outside or trying out a new restaurant.
Why did you choose your specialty and what is its greatest reward?
I've always known I wanted to work with children. Pediatric emergency medicine allows me to do so in a fast-paced environment where I get to identify and manage a wide variety of diagnoses. Getting to see smiles on tiny faces and the relief in their grownups faces makes everything worth it.
