Dr. Ahmed is originally from New York City and in his spare time, is an avid reader and traveler.

How do you spend your valuable personal time when you’re not caring for patients?
When not taking care of patients, I am spending much time with my family and close friends. I believe in traveling and seeing what the world has to offer.

Why did you choose your specialty and what is its greatest reward?
I chose Internal Medicine because I see myself as a detective. The human body is vastly complex and its pathologies are numerous. As an Internal medicine physician, we attempt to tackle the most intricate pathologies while never losing appreciation for the little details. It is greatly rewarding to take care of complex cases and improve someone's quality of life.
