Natalie Martinico, PA-C

Natalie Martinico, MHS, PA-C, is a physician assistant with Connecticut Children’s Medical Center at Danbury Hospital, where she practices in both neonatal intensive care and pediatric hospital medicine. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Health Science Studies and Master of Health Science in Physician Assistant Studies from Quinnipiac University. She is certified by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA) and licensed to practice in Connecticut. Originally from Long Island, Natalie relocated to Connecticut for her studies and chose to begin her career here after developing a strong connection to the community and its healthcare systems. During her training, she discovered her passion for caring for children and their families, particularly in acute and neonatal settings.

Her clinical interests include neonatal opioid withdrawal syndrome, prematurity, and early developmental care. She is also passionate about performing newborn and well-baby examinations, providing education and reassurance to families during the earliest stages of life. Natalie is inspired by the innocence, resilience, and sense of fun that children bring to medicine. Her approach to care is grounded in compassion, teamwork, and communication, with the goal of fostering trust and improving outcomes for every child.

I aim to provide every patient with the same compassionate, high-quality care I would want for my own family, grounded in genuine connection and empathy.

What is the most important thing your patients should expect from their professional relationship with you? What do you expect from them?
My patients can expect compassion, honesty, and trust. In return, I value openness, respect, and partnership in working together toward their best health.

How do you spend your valuable personal time when you are not caring for patients?
I enjoy trying new restaurants with family and friends, taking my dog Leo on walks, and spending lazy days watching football or binge-watching Netflix shows.

Why did you choose your specialty and what is its greatest reward?
I was drawn to pediatrics for its mix of complexity and hope. Helping children recover and supporting families through difficult times is deeply rewarding.
