About Neha Sood
Professional Statement
Dr. Sood earned her medical degree from Kasturba Medical College in India. Following this she pursued further specialization, culminating in an Obstetrics and Gynecology degree from Christian Medical College, India. Her commitment to continuous learning led her to complete a residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology at Flushing Hospital Medical Center, New York. During her residency training, Dr. Sood was the Administrative Chief Resident and won the Resident Achievement Award in 2020 for exhibiting the best clinical skills and compassionate care. She is a Fellow of the American Congress of Obstetricians and Gynecologists and holds Diplomate status with the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology. Dr. Sood is a compassionate obstetrician and gynecologist dedicated to providing comprehensive care to women throughout all stages of life and is committed to delivering patient-centered care with empathy and respect. She offers various services, including prenatal care, childbirth support, gynecological screenings, and family planning services. She has a special interest in minimally invasive gynecologic surgery.

What is the most important thing your patients should expect from their professional relationship with you? What do you expect from them?
I truly believe that prevention is better than cure and I strive to educate and inform my patients about their unlimited choices. Knowledge is key to empowerment.
How do you spend your valuable personal time when you’re not caring for patients?
Spending time with my Husband and son. We love extended family trips.
Why did you choose your specialty and what is its greatest reward?

Dr. Sood is one of the best providers of medical care that I have ever had. She is knowledgeable, professional, and so very kind. I am so glad that she is my doctor! Reaching the office and scheduling appointments is very difficult, and needs to be addressed; it is a very frustrating and out-of-date process.

Dr. Sood spent an extended amount of time making me feel seen and heard in my concerns. Her thoroughness, willingness to allow me to offer my history, knowledge and insight into my concerns in turn making for a collaborative approach to my care. Dr. Sood, provided clear explanations of my procedure and the follow up call that was part of the process. She was also very compassionate, especially with regard to pain management during the procedure. In addition, the other procedure team members were also compassionate and supportive. I would recommend this office to anyone in need of exceptional gynecology services.

I appreciate Dr Sood being thorough and compassionate with me. I also appreciate discussion regarding changes due to perimenopause and giving me options for how to help with these changes. I felt like Dr Sood understood and listened to my concerns. She also pointed out some things I was not aware of and gave me helpful advice/ samples to help. Very thankful to have a provider who does not dismiss or ignore concerns.
