About Nina Marie LaMagna
Professional Statement
Nina LaMagna, MSN, APRN-BC, CWOCN, is a board-certified adult nurse practitioner and wound, ostomy, and continent nurse with more than 30 years of clinical experience across hospital, home health, and primary care settings. Since 2017, she has served on the inpatient wound care team at Norwalk Hospital, providing comprehensive assessment, treatment, and education for patients with acute and chronic wounds and ostomies. She works closely with physicians, nurses, and case managers to ensure coordinated, evidence-based care and safe transitions after discharge.
Mrs. LaMagna began her nursing career after earning her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Saint Joseph College in West Hartford, Connecticut. She went on to earn a Master of Science in Nursing from Western Connecticut State University and completed a specialty in Wound, Ostomy, and Continence Nursing at Emory University in Atlanta, Georgia.
Prior to her current role, Nina practiced as an Adult Nurse Practitioner with Soundview Medical Associates, Fernow House Calls, Park Avenue Medical Associates, and NP Care, managing acute and chronic illnesses, coordinating care with community and home health services, and educating patients and families on prevention and disease.

I expect my patients to be engaged partners in their healing - proactive and committed to following their care plan for the best possible outcomes.
How do you spend your valuable personal time when you are not caring for patients?
Outside of work, I stay centered and recharged by enjoying baking, home decorating and spending meaningful time with family and friends.
Why did you choose your specialty and what is its greatest reward?
I chose wound care to make a meaningful difference in healing. The greatest reward is being a part of each patient's journey in regaining comfort, strength and independence through dedicated care.
