I truly believe that healthcare is a collaborative process between the patient, their physician, their family and other members of the healthcare team.
What is the most important thing your patients should expect from their professional relationship with you? What do you expect from them?
I try to always take the time to understand the concerns of my patients and to be sure that they understand their condition and treatment.
How do you spend your personal time when you're not caring for patients?
I enjoy swimming, spending time with my family and our Golden Retrievers, and my lifelong hobby, historical miniature wargaming.
Why did you choose your specialty and what is its greatest reward?
I chose family medicine for its long-term commitment to caring for patients and families as individuals with unique backgrounds and needs.
