Prabasha Ranmini Weeraddana, MBBS

Dr. Prabasha Weeraddana is a dedicated physician specializing in Internal Medicine. She completed her Internal Medicine residency at Danbury Hospital, Connecticut. Before that, she had extensive training and earned her medical degree with distinction from the USJ’s Faculty of Medical Sciences, Sri Lanka. She has also made significant contributions to medical literature through her publications. Why did you choose your specialty and what is its greatest reward?
In Internal Medicine, we encounter and provide patient care for a wide range of medical conditions, not limited to a specific specialty. I enjoy and excel in the challenging environment resulting from the diversity of cases and the multitude of different procedures. More importantly, treating some of the sickest patients in the hospital brought me immense joy, especially when I witnessed them in better health, walking out of the hospital/ICU, and defying the odds of their initial prognosis.
