Why should someone choose you to care for their health?
I always had a great relationship with my primary care provider, as it was someone I trusted, confided in and collaborated with. This is the type of relationship I would like to mirror with my patients. My goal is to actively listen to concerns and provide them with evidence-based care. I truly believe in preventative medicine and maintaining wellness, and each visit will review screening measures.

What is the most important thing your patients should expect from their professional relationship with you? What do you expect from them?
I aspire towards being a family practitioner who will advocate for my patients, educate the community by sharing my knowledge, and work as a team with my colleagues to better patient and community care. My hope is that patients may take this information and better their lifestyles and health. I hope for a respectful relationship, that embodies open communication and understanding.

How do you spend your valuable personal time when you’re not caring for patients?
I like to spend my time with family and friends as much as possible if that is catching a flight home to Toronto for the weekend or sharing dinner with a close friend. I also enjoy exploring new cities and cuisines. I have been working on my fitness journey and enjoying my time being physically active.

Why did you choose your specialty and what is its greatest reward?
My passion drove me to enter medical school, but it was my volunteer work that fueled me. Building relationships, providing continuity of care, and advocating preventative medicine were the qualities I cherished through my extracurricular activities. I quickly noticed these qualities are fundamental in family medicine. Being the initial contact for providing medical care to a diverse population reinforced my desire to become a family physician. My background, clinical experience, and present endeavors have allowed me to build skillset to become a family medicine physician in this community. Providing care and seeing the impact it has to the community is the best reward.
