Dr. Ram Seshadri is a fellowship-trained hepatobiliary and pancreas surgeon with several years of experience in performing complex and minimally invasive procedures to treat benign and malignant diseases of the liver, bile duct, pancreas, stomach and duodenum. He has additional experience in abdominal organ transplantation of the liver, kidney and pancreas.
Dr. Seshadri offers patient-centered care using evidence-based medicine and current best practices. He firmly believes in a multidisciplinary approach to help patients achieve timely treatment goals and help them maintain their quality of life.
Dr. Seshadri is the Junior Surgeons Chair for the Americas Hepato-Pancreato-Biliary Association (AHPBA). In this role, he is shaping the future of hepatobiliary surgery by creating initiatives to support and retain the next generation of surgeons. This national leadership role reflects his ongoing commitment to advancing hepatobiliary surgery, clinical education and surgical innovation.

I believe in complete trust and honesty with my patients and always want them to feel comfortable with the care they are receiving from me.
How do you spend your personal time when you're not caring for patients?
I enjoy spending time with my family, playing tennis and exploring the culinary world the great states of Connecticut and New York have to offer.
Why did you choose your specialty and what is its greatest reward?
The degree of complexity and uniqueness of diseases involving the liver, pancreas and upper abdomen has always intrigued me.
