Dr. Idriss is thankful for the privilege of caring for patients in our community. He is committed to providing the highest quality care to his patients in the emergency department with empathy, respect, integrity and compassion. He enjoys working with the emergency department team members, as well as colleagues throughout the hospital and community to meet the physical, emotional and spiritual needs of his patients.

Why should someone choose you to care for their health?
While patients often cannot choose their physician in an emergency, my patients are hopefully comforted by my professional experience and commitment to their health and well-being.

What is the most important thing your patients should expect from their professional relationship with you? What do you expect from them?
Trust. My patients can trust that I will do everything in my power to care for and advocate for them. I ask that my patients return the respect and honesty that I offer them to ensure a healthy and successful relationship.

How do you spend your personal time when you're not caring for patients?
Spending time with my family, coaching little league baseball and working on my curveball in case the Yankees ever call.

Why did you choose your specialty and what is its greatest reward?
I chose emergency medicine because I love being there for a patient and their family at their greatest hour of need and being able to reassure patients when it may seem dire, but thankfully is not. It is a privilege to work with a diverse team in the emergency department and come together to achieve a common purpose of providing exceptional care to those in need.
