Rina Joshi, DO

Dr. Rina Joshi earned her medical degree with magna cum laude honors from Touro College of Osteopathic Medicine in Middletown, NY. She completed her residency in Internal Medicine at Christiana Care in Delaware, followed by fellowship training in Rheumatology at Temple University Hospital in Philadelphia, PA, where she served as Chief Fellow during her second year. From 2024 to 2025, Dr. Joshi also served as a Fellow-in-Training Board Member for the Rheumatology Research Foundation.

I provide compassionate, evidence-based care, listen closely, and partner with patients to manage complex conditions while empowering them to make informed, confident decisions about their health.

What is the most important thing your patients should expect from their professional relationship with you? What do you expect from them?
Patients should expect a trusting, respectful relationship where they feel heard, supported, and guided through personalized, compassionate, and evidence-based care tailored to their unique needs. I expect patients to be honest with me.

How do you spend your valuable personal time when you are not caring for patients?
When I am not caring for my patients you can find me doing yoga or playing with my mini Bernedoodle, Bernard.

Why did you choose your specialty and what is its greatest reward?
I chose rheumatology for its complexity and long-term patient relationships. The greatest reward is helping patients regain function, comfort, and control over chronic autoimmune conditions.
