Get To Know Me
Why should someone choose you to care for their health?
I can only go by what my patients thought about my care as their Oncologist. I have been thought as a Healthcare Provider who actively follow-up on my patients, makes time for the patients, who listens and gives clear explanations, compassionate and caring. I think that says a lot about how I practice my profession, and I am grateful that I am able to contribute to our patient’s health improvement and well-being
What is the most important thing your patients should expect from their professional relationship with you? What do you expect from them?
In my years in practice, I have viewed my patients as family… I can’t think of a better term to express that connection. But just like most “Padre de Familia”, l aim to take oversee the lives of those entrusted to my care. I will work with my patients and push to get them better... But I will need their full collaboration to make it happen.
How do you spend your valuable personal time when you’re not caring for patients?
I love spending time with my family, especially the grandchildren. I enjoy gardening, sailing and reading.
Why did you choose your specialty and what is its greatest reward?
I chose Oncology because of the unique privilege of helping patients face one of the toughest challenges of their lives. The greatest reward is fighting the cancer battle with them, witnessing their courage surface through and seeing them filled with joy when that battle has been won and the patients are cured.
