Dr. Bonwetsch is originally from Germany and is fluent in German. He serves on the board of the Epilepsy Foundation of Connecticut and lives with his wife and three children in Fairfield County. He enjoys hiking in the summer and skiing in the winter.

My patients are my priority and I listen to them first and foremost. I consider myself a team player and together with my patient will develop their individual care plan.
What is the most important thing your patients should expect from their professional relationship with you? What do you expect from them?
Trust and honesty going both ways are very important in a patient-physician relationship. I will give my patients the personalized care that they need.
How do you spend your personal time when you're not caring for patients?
I am involved in my church and love the outdoors.
Why did you choose your specialty and what is its greatest reward?
I chose neurology as a specialty as the brain is what makes us human and the progress I get to see in my patients is very rewarding.
