Robert Schrag, CRNA

Robert Schrag is a board-certified Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) and recent graduate of Fairfield University’s nurse anesthesia program. As a newly minted CRNA, he brings fresh knowledge, strong clinical training, and a deep commitment to patient safety and comfort.

Robert is passionate about the field of anesthesia as a whole and remains open to exploring various clinical specialties as he gains more experience. What drives him is the opportunity to contribute to safe, smooth, and compassionate patient care before, during, and after surgical procedures. Known for his easygoing and approachable nature, Robert values collaboration and communication in the perioperative setting, aiming to put patients and their families at ease every step of the way.

Outside the operating room, Robert enjoys exercising and spending quality time with his wife and children. He is excited to begin this new chapter and is proud to join a team committed to clinical excellence and patient-centered care.

How do you spend your valuable personal time when you are not caring for patients?
I enjoy staying active, exercising, and spending quality time with my wife and kids outdoors or at home.

Why did you choose your specialty and what is its greatest reward?
I chose anesthesia to combine critical thinking with patient care. The greatest reward is helping patients safely through vulnerable moments.
