Ryan C. Denley, DO

Dr. Denley is a board-certified Hematologist, Medical Oncologist and Internal Medicine Physician. He diagnoses and treats a variety of benign hematologic conditions and is also skilled in the administration of chemotherapy, immunotherapy and targeted therapy for many solid tumors and cancers of the blood. He believes a patient's journey to better health starts with a sincere and personal connection with their doctor. He looks forward to caring for residents of the Hudson Valley the same as he would his own family. 

Why should someone choose you to care for their health
Every individual is unique and the same is true of their medical issues. I believe in getting to know the “whole person” and what matters to them so I may better address their needs and concerns. 

What is the most important thing your patients should expect from their professional relationship with you? What do you expect from them?
I practice high-quality medicine using the best available evidence and science. I frequently collaborate with other specialties because my patients deserve comprehensive care. I appreciate honesty and trust from my patients, and for them to feel comfortable expressing themselves openly.

How do you spend your valuable personal time when you’re not caring for patients?
My other full-time jobs are as a husband and father. My wonderful wife and I enjoy the outdoors but also appreciate relaxing with a movie or TV show at home. Our children keep us busy making crafts, reading books and playing in the yard. 

Why did you choose your specialty and what is its greatest reward?
I spent my early career performing genetic diagnostics at a New York City cancer center. I witnessed anticancer therapies change the trajectory of many people's illnesses and I desired to one day possess the knowledge and skill to deliver that gift to others. Empowering patients with knowledge about their diseases so they may confidently take the next steps in their journey is the greatest reward in cancer care.
