Ryan J. Sorkin, MD

Dr. Ryan Sorkin is an Emergency Medicine physician. As an EM physician, his specialty is primarily focused on resuscitation, triage of undifferentiated patients and management of acute conditions that arrive in the emergency department across all specialties. Dr. Sorkin's favorite part of his specialty is that an emergency physician will never turn a patient away regardless of insurance status, complaint, or background. We take care of those forgotten by society. His free time is spent exploring new places and is on an eternal hunt to find the best pizza in the world.

What is the most important thing your patients should expect from their professional relationship with you? What do you expect from them?
My patients should expect kindness and courteous treatment and I expect the same from my patients. 

How do you spend your valuable personal time when you’re not caring for patients?
I like to explore and try new foods.

Why did you choose your specialty and what is its greatest reward?
My favorite part of this specialty is that an emergency physician will never turn a patient away regardless of insurance status, complaint or background. I take care of those forgotten by society. I am the doctor you will see on quite possibly the worst day of your life and will try my best to help you in whatever capacity that may be.
