Samantha M. Arlow, MSN, WHNP-BC, NP

Samantha Arlow, MSN, WHNP-BC is a board-certified, licensed women’s health and gender-related nurse practitioner, who works collaboratively with Susan K. Boolbol, MD, FACS, system chief of breast surgical oncology and breast program. She began her nursing career in 2013, working in reproductive endocrinology where she first became passionate about women’s health. She brings experience working as an operating room nurse helping to educate and ease fears of patients before surgery. As a nurse practitioner, she strives to care for the whole patient by providing support through their journey.

What is the most important thing your patients should expect from their professional relationship with you? What do you expect from them?
They should expect someone who cares about their well-being and future. I strive to ease the fears of the patients we see.

How do you spend your personal time when you're not caring for patients?
I enjoy hiking, cycling, and knitting, as well as spending time with my friends, family, and dog.

Why did you choose your specialty and what is its greatest reward?
I knew I wanted to work in surgical breast oncology after a clinical rotation in graduate school. Treating diseases of the breast is one of the best ways I can advocate for women.
