Sarah E. Frost, MD

Dr. Frost is a pathologist certified by the American Board of Pathology in Anatomic Pathology, Clinical Pathology, and Cytopathology since 2011. She has a special interest in Breast Pathology. Her pathology training was completed at the Mount Sinai School of Medicine in New York City and the Albert Einstein School of Medicine in the Bronx. Prior to joining us, she has been practicing general pathology, including breast pathology, and assistant lab directorships in Long Island, NY, followed by eight years at Lower Manhattan Hospital NYP-Weill Cornell Medicine. She is a native of southern Louisiana and earned her Medical Doctorate from LSU School of Medicine in New Orleans in 2007.

Why should someone choose you to care for their health?
I want the best care for the patient, and I always have the whole patient in mind when I am working on his or her case. Even though pathologists don’t typically interact face to face with patients, I am meticulous about my work, with cognizance of how my pathology report will help guide the individual patient’s treatment and care.

Why did you choose your specialty and what is its greatest reward?
I am a visually oriented person, drawn to small details and a “perfectionist” so to speak, which made pathology a good fit for me. I’m grateful that I can apply my talents towards helping the patient receive the best clinical care. I also enjoy speaking with people face to face! I’m happy to collaborate with other providers to help establish the patient’s best treatment or clarify any questions about my pathology reports.
