Get To Know Me
I love my job. I enjoy educating my patients and making them shared partners in decision-making. We will discuss the various treatment options together so that you and your family really understand the choices.
What is the most important thing your patients should expect from their professional relationship with you? What do you expect from them?
I am very straight forward and honest and usually don’t sugar-coat things. I have extensive experience and believe in an open and forthright conversation. I also expect the same from my patients.
How do you spend your personal time when you're not caring for patients?
My two boys run and jump on me when I get home from work every day. Happiness is in that moment. I enjoy biking, running, hiking, and playing board/card games and watching bad Sci-Fi on Netflix.
Why did you choose your specialty and what is its greatest reward?
I love the detective work in neurosurgery. The nervous system is amazing. I enjoy helping make my patients happier, with or without surgery. A thankful patient is the greatest satisfaction of all.
