About Scott Winsor
Professional Statement
Dr. Scott Winsor is a cardiologist dedicated to providing comprehensive and evidence-based cardiovascular care. He earned his medical degree from The University of Central Michigan. He then completed internal medicine residency at Wake Forest University Baptist Hospital and completed a cardiovascular disease fellowship at Corewell Health/Michigan State University in Grand Rapids, MI. Dr. Winsor’s clinical interests include preventive cardiology, coronary artery disease, echocardiography, nuclear cardiology, and coronary computed tomography. Prior to attending medical school, Dr. Winsor worked as a bedside nurse. This experience continues to shape his approach to patient care and has given him a deep appreciation for the importance of listening, communication, and building meaningful relationships with patients and their families. He believes that the best outcomes are achieved when physicians and patients work together as partners, developing individualized treatment plans that are grounded in the latest clinical evidence while also reflecting each patient’s unique goals and values. Outside of medicine, Dr. Winsor enjoys spending time with his wife and children, exploring new restaurants, and traveling with his family.
Get To Know Me
Why should someone choose you to care for their health?
I aim to deliver compassionate, evidence-based cardiovascular care that is centered around trust and shared decision-making with personalized treatment plans designed to improve health and quality of life.
What is the most important thing your patients should expect from their professional relationship with you? What do you expect from them?
Expect attentive, compassionate, evidence-based care. In return, I ask for open communication, active participation, and a shared commitment to achieving your health goals.
How do you spend your valuable personal time when you are not caring for patients?
I love to spend time with my wife and children outdoors, playing sports together, or traveling. When my wife and I have free time, we love to try new food!
Why did you choose your specialty and what is its greatest reward?
I chose cardiology because of the amazing physiology, constant innovation, and the meaningful relationships that come with caring for the heart. The greatest reward is helping patients live healthier and longer lives.
