Shannon Pohar, CRNA

Shannon Pohar was born in Westchester, NY and earned an undergraduate degree in biology from Villanova University. She later pursued a nursing degree at Lehman College in the Bronx and gained ICU experience at the University of Virginia Medical Center. Shannon ultimately received her CRNA degree from Albany Medical College, during which time she also got married and welcomed a beautiful baby boy named Dylan. She is excited to join the team and looks forward to expanding her knowledge and working with a wonderful group.

How do you spend your valuable personal time when you are not caring for patients?
With my toddler who loves to be outside.

Why did you choose your specialty and what is its greatest reward?
I love to be a trustworthy and calming presence for my patients during some of the most vulnerable times of their lives.
