Sheetal Jain, MD

As part of the Hospitalist Team, Dr. Jain enjoys caring for patients when they are admitted – and helping to coordinate care when they are ready to leave. She finds it rewarding to work closely with the rest of the hospital team to meet all the healthcare needs of our patients. 

Why should someone choose you to care for their health?
I am a clinician with a diverse array of clinical skills. I have worked in medicine in multiple countries and in a variety of healthcare settings. I am well-liked by my patients and they enjoy their professional interactions with me.

What is the most important thing your patients should expect from their professional relationship with you? What do you expect from them?
My patients should expect that I would listen to them carefully and make them an equal partner in decisions about their health. I expect that my patients would value my advice, judge me based on my work and make a sincere effort to be compliant.

How do you spend your valuable personal time when you’re not caring for patients?
I have two young children and I love spending time outdoors with my family. I enjoy bike riding, cooking and traveling.

Why did you choose your specialty and what is its greatest reward?
I chose Internal Medicine because it is a challenging field and it provides me with an opportunity to care for people over the arc of their lifetime. These aspects of my field are very fulfilling to me.
