Steven Gorelick, MD

Dr. Steven Gorelick is a board-certified gastroenterologist and the system chair of the Digestive Health Institute in the Connecticut and Hudson Valley region of Northwell Health. He is also the George S. Sakellares Endowed Chair in Digestive Health in recognition of his expertise, leadership and excellent care for people with gastrointestinal (GI) conditions. Dr. Gorelick has extensive experience diagnosing and managing patients with acute and chronic GI conditions and he has advanced training in liver disease and transplant. He has performed thousands of GI procedures over his career, including colonoscopy screenings and endoscopies, and he enjoys the procedural aspect of GI, as well as the personal patient interactions. He builds strong and long-lasting relationships with his patients, and he takes a special interest in helping his patients understand their condition to help improve their overall quality of life. Dr. Gorelick grew up in the area and enjoys spending time with his family doing outdoor activities and playing sports. Dr. Gorelick has been named a Top Doc by Castle Connolly.
