Steven Gorelick, MD

Dr. Steven Gorelick is a gastroenterologist and is board certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine. Dedicated to building strong and long lasting relationships, he takes special interest in educating his patients to improve their overall quality of life. Dr. Gorelick is well versed in diagnosing and managing patients with acute and chronic GI conditions with advanced training in liver disease and transplant. Performing more than 15,000 procedures over his career, he enjoys the procedural aspect of GI, as well as the personal patient interactions. He provides comprehensive care to each patient, treating and viewing them as individuals. Dr. Gorelick is originally from the area—growing up in Mahopac, New York—and enjoys spending time with his family doing outdoor activities and playing sports. Dr. Gorelick was named a 2023 Top Doc by Castle Connolly.

Why did you choose your specialty and what is its greatest reward?
Gastroenterology offers me the chance to perform hands-on procedures and make an immediate difference in a patient's life. In addition, I am grateful for the opportunity to develop a personal doctor/patient relationship with my patients.
