Sujaay Jagannathan, DO, Resident Physician

Sujaay Jagannathan, DO, (Dr. J for short), is a resident physician in Family Medicine who is passionate about providing comprehensive, patient-centered care across all stages of life. He completed his medical school at University of New England, Maine. He is currently training in family medicine and has a background in neurology. He values building long-term relationships with patients. Known for taking time to listen, Dr. J approaches each visit with care and humility. He takes great pleasure in helping patients make positive lifestyle changes through diet, exercise, stress-management, sleep before resorting to medications. He addresses the root cause of disease and works in partnership with patients to come up with a treatment plan. He helps patients understand their health conditions, so they are in the driver’s seat for their own health.

Why should someone choose you to care for their health?
To me, patient care always comes first. I try to get to the root cause of the disease, rather than just treat symptoms.

What is the most important thing your patients should expect from their professional relationship with you? What do you expect from them?
Patients can expect kindness with competence, thoroughness with thoughtfulness. Dr. J expects patients to be timely, be knowledgeable of their own health and medications, and be committed to becoming healthier.

How do you spend your valuable personal time when you are not caring for patients?
Spending time with my cat, listening to podcasts, and traveling.

Why did you choose your specialty and what is its greatest reward?
I enjoy taking an interdisciplinary approach to patient care and helping patients of all ages. I enjoy being the Jack-of-all-trades.
