Get To Know Me
Why should someone choose you to care for their health?
I strongly support the concept of patient-centered care delivered by working in tandem with other sub-specialists, patients and their families in a true shared decision-making model to provide individualized care.
What is the most important thing your patients should expect from their professional relationship with you? What do you expect from them?
My patients should expect comprehensive evidence-based care using advanced technology. My team provides the latest diagnostic and therapeutic options for airway as well as pleural interventions. Together with my sub-specialist colleagues in thoracic surgery, thoracic medical oncology and radiation oncology, we provide an all-encompassing value-based care approach to both malignant and benign diseases.
How do you spend your valuable personal time when you’re not caring for patients?
I enjoy spending time with my family and love to travel and experience different cuisines and cultures.
Why did you choose your specialty and what is its greatest reward?
Interventional pulmonology is a relatively young specialty that links the fields of pulmonary medicine, thoracic surgery and gastroenterology to provide efficient diagnostic and therapeutic management. I was attracted to this specialty due to the seamless incorporation of advanced technology in providing minimally invasive diagnostic and therapeutic options for managing both malignant and benign airway and pleural diseases. It is truly rewarding to help patients navigate their cancer care journey and generate valuable clinical data to aid their staging and management.

He is the best! Put my mind at ease following a lung biopsy and pushed up my appointment so I didn't the ave up wait to get the results of the biopsy. By going so I had less time to worry about the outcome.

This was a consultation where info was presented in a well understood manner. Time was taken by both the doctor and nurse to explain the plan of care.
