safety, comfort, and long-term health goals. I will listen attentively to their concerns, respect 
their values, and provide clear explanations at every step. In return, I ask for openness and 
trust, as well as a willingness to follow treatment plans and share feedback. Together, we can 
build a partnership that leads to better decisions and better
outcomes.

How do you spend your valuable personal time when you are not caring for patients?
In my personal time, I enjoy activities that help me connect with both nature and my community. I often go for long hikes, tend to my home garden, or find a quiet corner to read. I also value 
spending quality time with family and close friends, cooking healthy meals, and exploring new 
recipes. My personal pursuits help me return to my practice
refreshed, grounded, and ready to care for others.

Why did you choose your specialty and what is its greatest reward?
I chose adult cardiac surgery because it melds precise, life-saving interventions with meaningful 
patient relationships. The greatest reward is witnessing a patient’s journey from uncertainty and 
fear to improved health and renewed vitality. Seeing patients return to the activities they 
love—and knowing I played a part in that—is the most gratifying
aspect of my work.
