Victoria Lynn Scharff, PA-C

Victoria Scharff, PA, is a certified Physician Assistant, born and raised in Poughkeepsie. She is looking forward to giving back to the community that provided for her. Victoria attended SUNY Cortland for undergraduate where she earned a Bachelor of Science in Exercise Science and attended Touro University Middletown to complete her PA Master’s Program. Her previous clinical work includes working as a Patient Care Assistant and Medical Assistant in Newburgh and Poughkeepsie, respectively.

What is the most important thing your patients should expect from their professional relationship with you? What do you expect from them?
I take pride in being an educational resource for my patients across the entire spectrum of vascular health - helping you navigate everything from minor concerns to the most intricate clinical challenges with respect and expertise. I expect patients to be a partner with me in their healthcare and ask questions when needed.

How do you spend your valuable personal time when you are not caring for patients?
When I am not working, I enjoy spending my time with family, friends and my dog, Melo.

Why did you choose your specialty and what is its greatest reward?
What drew me to vascular surgery is the incredible scope of practice it offers. It requires a high level of technical skill in the operating room, but it also allows for the continuity of care that only a clinic setting provides. Because vascular health impacts the entire body from head to toe, I can focus on comprehensive wellness and long-term improvements in a patient's quality of life.
