Vincent Lau, MD

Born and raised in New York, Vincent Lau, MD, grew up inspired by the city’s diversity, energy, and constant innovation. This environment sparked an interest in the human body and the technologies that drive modern medicine, ultimately leading to a career in interventional radiology.

Dr. Lau studied at New York University, followed by medical school at SUNY Downstate. During a diagnostic radiology residency at Northwell Health, he developed a strong foundation in imaging and discovered a true calling in interventional radiology. Rigorous fellowship training at Northwell Health allowed them to strengthen skills in radiologically guided vascular, oncologic, and non-vascular procedures.

Today, Dr. Lau specializes in patient-centered approach minimally invasive treatments that reduce recovery time and offer meaningful alternatives to surgery. Now a proud member of the Hudson Valley community, they continue to draw strength and inspiration from their New York City roots—channeling the drive, resilience, and momentum of the city into every aspect of patient care.

 How do you spend your valuable personal time when you are not caring for patients?
I recharge by spending time with my family and hiking in the beautiful trails of the Hudson Valley.

Why did you choose your specialty and what is its greatest reward?
I chose interventional radiology for its blend of advanced imaging, hands-on procedures, and meaningful patient impact. Its greatest reward is providing minimally invasive treatments that offer rapid relief and life-changing outcomes.
