Whitney S. Hall, CNM

Whitney Hall (she/her) has been a midwife for 18 years. She believes that the best birth is the one that makes you feel empowered and supported. She believes in shared decision making, listening and supporting your choices for your birth in a safe and protected environment. She strives to make your pregnancy and birth right for you, respecting your diversity and your experiences. Her areas of expertise include maternity care, birth control counseling, annual gynecological exams/issues and preconception care. She strives to maintain cultural competency and happily cares for all minority patients, including LGBTQ people. She accepts telehealth visits for almost any issue. In her free time, Whitney enjoys playing recreational pond hockey and hiking in the Catskills.

I would love to be your care provider. I love empowering patients to reach their optimum health.

What is the most important thing your patients should expect from their professional relationship with you? What do you expect from them?
My patients should expect to be heard and to have their issues addressed at every visit. I expect my patients to strive towards optimal health with my support.

How do you spend your personal time when you're not caring for patients?
I love to skate and play hockey in the winter and hike the trails in the Catskill Mountains in the summer. I also knit and mend clothing, garden, cook food for my three children and raise chickens.

Why did you choose your specialty and what is its greatest reward?
I wanted to be a midwife since I was a teenager. Midwifery combines deep respect for the natural power of women's bodies with modern science and evidence. My patients are my greatest reward.
