How do you spend your personal time when you're not caring for patients?
I also serve as director of internal medicine residency program at Danbury Hospital and much of my time is devoted to educating younger physicians.
Why did you choose your specialty and what is its greatest reward?
I chose my field of specialty because nephrology is a very analytical discipline.

I am confident w his care and he is very kind and straightforward. I feel that he is very experienced and intelligent. Having a bp and kidney concerns is very scary. I know he will do his best to keep me healthy.

Dr. Shih was PERFECT!!!! He is highly talented, respectful, knowledgeable, kind and every positive adjective!!! I was afraid and he made me feel comfortable!!!!!!! He explained everything and he listened to my concerns!!!! I feel very fortunate to have Dr. Shih in my life!!!!!

Dr SHIH is a great doctor. He keeps it very simple and is very thorough with his explanation. I enjoy seeing him and trust him implicitly. And for me , that's the most important thing in a physician.
